This is a birthday present for the wonderful and ever-friendly and supportive Trish. It's her birthday today, and here's her gift, right on time (albeit she did extend the contest period, but she bullied me into entering! ).

About the picture:

I've always been a bookworm. No matter the point in my life, no matter the friends (or lack thereof), there has always been a book to bury my nose in. Some of my favourite moments with other people have been sharing the books, whether it's reading aloud to children I babysat, or those lazy days when there was nothing more important than just being together with a friend.

There was a ton of over painting for this picture. Also, at one point, there was Peter Pan- I spent a LONG time tubing the model, and then decided not to use it after all. Oh well- I saved the tube! :-D
